The Mid-American Conference tournament is finally here.
Both of the Men’s and Women’s teams have made the trip to Cleveland in hopes of continuing their tournament championships’ streaks. The Women’s tournament kicks off Wednesday with the Bulls playing at 1 p.m. against the Kent State Golden Flashes. If you are a fan of UB basketball, you need to tune in to this game.
Let’s start with the head of this team in Felisha Legette-Jack. Coach Jack is one of the best coaches in all the MAC, if not the NCAA for basketball. She has a lot of energy and is not afraid to stand up for her players. Jack is also not the type to keep her thoughts to herself; she will tell it how it is.
Next, there are two players who have been to the Sweet 16 before in Hanna Hall and Summer Hemphill. The experience is there for these two women. They are two of the top players in the MAC and want to win one more MAC championship before going out. They want that one last NCAA bid and will give it their all to get it.
Then we add the fact that the Bulls are the No. 4 seed. Now I am a guy who looks at past instances and sees patterns. If you looked at two years ago when the Bulls won the MAC, they were the No. 4 seed. I am not saying that they always win as the four, but it happened last time.
For those of you who don’t join before Wednesday’s game, you missed your opportunity. For those of you who were on the wagon already, let’s enjoy this ride together. HORNS UP!!
