Welcome to the Pay The Bills Podcast

Welcome to the Pay The Bills pod (FKA The Crowd Assist Podcast). The OFFICIAL podcast where Trainwreck Sports pays our bills, bringing you unique NFL and Buffalo Bills coverage you won’t find anywhere else on the interwebs.

Much respect to the fellas who started the CAP, s/o Wake, Mike and Kevin for their work over the years to help build the pod into the success that it has been.

But 2023 presented an opportunity for change. Wake and I and a whole host of others committed to the brand worked hard last year to create our own vision for the CAP. Once the year finished, we knew it was time for a change and to implement our own vision.

Thank you for hopping on this train. It never stops.

So…. what are we going to talk about?

WHAT WE DO

The Pay The Bills pod will come at you every Thursday and pregame before every Bills game this year. Last year, Wake and I were the main hosts and that will remain, but we’re going to change it up this year.

We’ll have our time together that you won’t want to miss, but also segments from across Trainwreck Sports and interviews with local media from WNY and around the country, to work to provide the best, most whole and most comprehensive opinion show surrounding the Buffalo Bills.

We’re talking big picture, small picture, even bigger picture, most giant picture, and stuff only southtowners might know. We want you covered from all angles and believe TWS is the place you’ll find that.

WHAT ABOUT THIS YEAR’S BILLS OUTLOOK? CAN WE GET A TEASE?

Here’s a little preview of my season outlook for the Buffalo Bills.

Last season, the media decided that after the Bills lost to the Chiefs in the 2022 Divisional, they were destined. That was clearly not the case. This year, some media has the audacity to pick them third(!!!!) in the division.

What’s really changed about this roster outside of Tremaine Edmunds (one of the most polarizing figures on the team as it was)?

They will be healthier. They will have more experience together on the offensive side of the ball. What do I mean by that? I just have a hunch that a coach in his 2nd year on the job might be more prepared than he was in his first.

And having a QB with a fully functional arm for half of the year could help.

Things I’m Sure About The Bills This Season

– that Josh Allen will be an MVP candidate

– that Stefon Diggs will be an OPOY candidate

– Von Miller and Tre White will return to form

– The defensive line will be a top 5 unit in the league

– The secondary will be top 10, but statistics will make it look better than it is

– McDermott will fuck up a late-game situation and people will say he can’t handle both responsibilities

– Gabe Davis will drop the ball in a big moment

– But Gabe is going to bounce back with a 1,000 yard season

– Harty and Sherfield > Shakir

– Damien Harris is better than you all think

– Ed Oliver will look like a stud next to Poona

– James Cook isn’t as good as we think

– Dalton Kincaid is going to be TE1

– The Bills will win 13 games again (at least)

THINGS I’M NOT SURE ABOUT

– the MLB competition

– the offensive line. in general

– Dorsey’s play-calling creativity

– McDermott’s play calling and game management at the same time

– Harty and Sherfield

– Kaiir Elam’s second contract

– Whether they got fucked by schedule makers or not

The rest, you’ll just have to tune in/read about to find out.

Only a few Mondays from MNF in New York. I can’t wait to be on the journey with you all again.

Go Bills.
