The field is dwindling down as we get closer to crowning the best of the best for WrestleManias. We have four WMs from the 2000s and four from the 2010s. How many will there be going into the Fatal 4? Who moves onto the next round? Let’s get into the results.
Elite 8: WM X7- WM 23
This one was chalk as WM X7 would easily walk away with the 25-6 win. X7 in Houston was amazing and 23 could not compare to how good it was. The 19 vote difference is about where I thought this would go. Next round could be difficult for X7.
Elite 8: WM 35- WM 22
The dark horse WM 35 is moving on after the biggest vote differential in this round. 35 took the win 27-5. 22 was great, but people loved Kofi Mania. Also you can’t go wrong with Seth Rollins taking the Universal title away from Lesnar. The favorite and the dark horse will collide in the Fatal 4 to see who goes to the championship.
Elite 8: WM 26- WM 28
WM 28 will take care of WM 26 with the 20-12 win. Make no mistake HBK-Taker is the best match of the two of these Manias, but the card couldn’t hold up to 28. Taker-Triple H, Cena-Rock, and Punk-Y2J were enough to push 28 forward to the next round.
Elite 8: WM XXX- WM XX
In the battle of the Xs the WM hosted in NYC would get the very close victory of 18-14. WM XX pulled away late in the vote to get the victory to move onto the next round. I heard from a lot of people that this was a hard decision. Personally I would have said XXX, but there is no wrong answer here. The best WWE moment I have seen live (Daniel Bryan’s night) and the best moment WWE moment of all time (Eddie Guerrero and REDACTED celebrating in the middle of the ring.
