Not gonna lie folks, when it comes to sports sometimes I spin my own web as far as narratives are concerned. Sometimes I tell myself that Jack Eichel isn’t unhappy and it’s the media portrayal that is making him that way. Sometimes I tell myself no way the UB football coach is leaving for a higher paying more prestigious gig after all the work that’s been done in Amherst. And sometimes I’ve been wrong.
I was confident all throughout this offseason that Stefon Diggs was nothing to worry about. I figured he was just bored in his lambo looking for some entertainment. A weird tweet there, a disgruntled tweet there, a subtweet there, I thought it was all in good fun. Even the 24 hours of voluntary minicamp hoopla I still wasn’t all the way to thinking Stefon was a problemo.
However, here we are with 21 days until Bills SZN, primetime against Aaron Fraudgers, and we have arguably the biggest sports talking head in the world saying he has sources that Diggs is unhappy and wants out of Buffalo because he doesn’t believe in the coach. To be fair, Stephen A hasn’t always been on the ball when it comes to the pigskin and gridiron.
Plain and simple I dont believe Stephen A. and can’t wait for the season to get here at this point. Or like my man JSpence said…
