What’s happening, folks? Slick L here again. Call a cop. They robbed us blind!

Last week, after victories by Jason Witt and Greg Hardy, had us riding high, all Bobby Green had to do was use his tremendous power to fend off Thiago Moises to keep our parlay alive.

Well, the judges had other plans. All three judges scored the contest 29-28, a unanimous decision, in favor of Thiago Moses, and it killed our parlay. But I’m not here to whine about that. It’s a brand-new week, with brand-new picks focused on tonight’s UFC Vegas 13: Santos vs. Teixeira.

Without further ado. Let’s make some cash.

Ian Heinisch vs. Brendan Allen

Diving right in, we have an early candidate for what could be one of the better fights of the night. This middleweight matchup not only features even odds but a very exciting young fighter in Brendan Allen.

Heinisch is proven to be a great scrambler, but he has the disadvantage of size in this matchup. Ultimately, I believe Allen controls this fight for three rounds solidly and gets the win by decision.

Money line odds:

Ian Heinisch: -112
Brendan Allen: -112

PICK: Brendan Allen -112 (ML)

Alexandr Romanov vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima

An exciting heavyweight matchup on the preliminary card, but I’m not going to sugar coat this one, folks. Romanov has been on an absolute tear as of late; the guy is a force to be reckoned with. Sitting at 12-0, you can punch this one in as the lock of the night. Alexandr Romanov is going to steamroll de Lima.

Money line odds:

Alexandr Romanov: -455

Rogerio de Lima: +330

PICK: Alexandr Romanov -455 (ML). KO U2.5 rounds.

Andrei Arlovski vs. Tanner Boser

Another heavyweight bout lining up to be a good one. UFC vet Arlovski taking on a big challenge in the young and explosive Boser. Both these guys are impeccable strikers. However, Boser has the power advantage, and Arlovski won’t keep up the pace. Also, I usually lean towards heavyweight matchups, not going the distance. The same is the case in this one.

Money line odds:

Andrei Arlovski: +235

Tanner Boser : -305

Pick: Tanner Boser -305 (ML). This fight will not go the distance.

Thiago Santos vs. Glover Teixeira

With our main event of the evening, we have a battle in the light heavyweight division. Following Jan Blachowicz winning the vacant light heavyweight title, we are faced with a matchup between two top contenders in the division.

Teixeira is fantastic on the group, but it’s a matter of how often he can take this fight to the mat. Santos is extremely aggressive, on the other hand, and will be a full plate for Glover. Thiago Santos is coming off losing to Jon Jones by decision over a year ago, who dominated the division for so long. Santos will be looking to redeem himself and establish himself as the number one contender of the light heavyweight division.

Money line odds:

Thiago Santos: -240

Glover Teixeira: +190

PICK: Thiago Santos -240 (ML). Fight will go the distance.

If you want to spice it up a bit and add a little flavor to your parlay, I’m going to leave with my “Dog Pick” of the night.

Darren Elkins vs. Eduardo Garagorri

Elkins looked slow in his last few fights and he’s going up against a quickly upcoming opponent.

Money line odds:

Darren Elkins: -240

Eduardo Garagorri: +185

DOG PICK: Eduardo Garagorri +185 (ML)

Slick’s Parlay

Romanov ML

Boser ML

Santos ML
