With the 193rd overall pick of the NHL Draft, the Buffalo Sabres select 19- year old defenseman Albert Lyckåsen.
The 5-foot-11, 181-pound blue liner had 14 goals, 22 assists and 36 points in 43 games for the Linkoping HC J20 program in Sweden. Elite Prospects 2020 NHL Draft Guide labeled Lyckåsen as a defenseman that, “wants to quarterback the power play,” and a player with, “great edge work and four-way mobility.”
Lyckåsen is currently playing in Sweden’s second-tier professional league for HC Vita Hästen of the Allsvenskan Hockey League.
The Sabres will finish up the 2020 NHL Draft with the 216th pick in the seventh round.
