The Buffalo Sabres have resigned goaltender Jonas Johansson to a one-year contract worth $700,000 the team announced this afternoon.
Selected in the third round (61st overall) of the 2014 NHL draft, The 25-year old netminder made his NHL debut last season and finished with a 1-3-1 record in six games.

In 22 games with the Rochester Americans, Johansson earned a 14-4-3 record with a .921 save percentage. This earned him a spot in the AHL All-Star Classic for the first time in his career.

Johansson has appeared in 41 career AHL games in his four seasons with Rochester.
