Folks, I hope everyone out there is having a great start to their workweek. There are many reasons to be joyful: the astounding top-tier weather we’ve been having, Douglas Jemal looking at property all over the city, and the imminent return of football both at the collegiate and professional level.
One person who doesn’t have much reason to be happy is Jack Eichel. After his agents threw a hissy fit a couple weeks ago, his situation might as well be a 9th grade English class because it’s All Quiet on the Western Front.

Sometimes when things aren’t going someone’s way, they alter their course, change their methods, or just throw a temper tantrum. Both apply when it comes to fans of the New York Rangers. Truthfully, I never had anything against them. Their goal song is sick, I always appreciated Lundqvist as a player, and the same goes for their franchise. However, these hypotheticals and rumored offers for #9 the past 12-16 months have induced me to near vomit status.
But we had apparently yet to see the cherry on the proverbial sundae. Rangers fans decided to take the next leap in making Sabres fans sick (or inducing laughter at the desperation, your call) in the form of a BILLBOARD!! The announcement came from @OhRyanMead who somehow has a checkmark as the host of BlueshirtsBreakaway.

The time has come.
Starting today for the next two weeks in honor of our 300th episode:
Blueshirts Breakaway has purchased a billboard on I-190 next to the Buffalo Sabres KeyBank Arena demanding an Eichel trade.
We all want this Jack Eichel saga to end.#FreeJack pic.twitter.com/RNVQToorFK
He also has the title of the founder of http://churchofkakko.com, in case you were wondering if he was involved in any trade hypotheticals.
Truth be told, this whole charade is an absolute blessing for Sabres Twitter. For the past fortnight they’ve had nothing to do but question when a deal, or at least a sign of one would finally come. Now there’s a surefire group they don’t want to see it involve.
If we are really calling a spade a spade, this isn’t even the best campaign to free a Jack, skip to 2:45 in the below clip to see what would likely be a more effective campaign from NYR faithful. (how underrated is Hook)
All in all, let Rangers fans have their fun. Clearly this is something they strongly believe in since they spent money on it, and just like Hook vs. Rufio this little parlor trick doesn’t change that GMKA is still the captain in control.
