The NASCAR Cup Series visits the midwest this weekend. Kansas Speedway will play host to the Buschy McBusch Race 400. No, that is the real name of the race. One thing that isn’t a laughing matter, though, is winning money. That is what I am here to help you with. Let’s get into my picks for this week.

FanDuel NASCAR DFS Overview

In this NASCAR Cup Series DFS column, I will be using FanDuel prices and scoring. Their scoring includes the following:

  • .1 points for leading a lap
  • .1 points for completing a lap
  • Add/subtract a point based on the difference in a driver’s finishing position relative to their starting position
  • Points based on where the driver finishes

BMBR 400 Drivers to Consider

Joey Logano ($12,000)

A wreck would take him out of the Talladega race putting him 29th to start this race. That will help you out as he will make his way to the front quick and earn you points. I believe he does exactly what he does last fall and gets the win.

Martin Truex Jr ($13,000)

You know this guy is reallt good at 1.5 mile tracks and I believe that his two wins has sparked momentum going forward for this team. Truex has tremendous stats here at Kansas and that history continues Sunday. Take him this week in your lineup.

Alex Bowman ($9,200)

Alex Bowman has had a roller coaster start this season. He has a good finish that everyone thinks will start something and then he finishes bottom half of the field. This week is different. The track owes him one after 2019 Kansas 1. Bowman will get back on track with at least a top 10 this week.

Bubba Wallace ($6,500)

The value play this week. 23XI Racing is starting to put together great runs, and they will be a force to reckon with going forward. Last week Bubba won a stage giving him some momentum, and this team has corrected a lot of their wrongs from the early portion of the season. Bubba will be a good pick this week as long as they have no mistakes.

BMBR 400 Drivers to Avoid

Austin Dillon ($8,000)

This is a cheaper option for your lineup, but he is starting too high for you to make a lot of points. The 8th place starting position makes me look elsewhere than AD3. A 14.5 average finishing position does not help his case for this weekend either.

Kurt Busch ($8,700)

This one hurts to write, but it is the truth. Kurt Busch has not had a top 10 since the Dixie Vodka 400 back in February. Over two months of him not having a good run and earning points in DFS. I want to see him have some grerat runs going forward before I put him in my lineup. Fade Kurt Busch for the foreseeable future.

Aric Almirola ($7,500)

Ok, Aric, we saw your good run at Richmond. Now do it again, and I will take you off this list. As for now, you stay here because of your poor runs to start the year and your 17.8 average finish.

Ryan Newman ($6,000)

This is partly because of his past 10 races at this track. Look, Rocketman is just terrible here, and I can’t figure out why. A 25th average finish at Kansas is not even close to what you want out of a driver you have in your lineup (depending on who you pick). Newman should stay FAR away from any DFS lineup this week.
