The Race across America by Trainwreck Sports is HERE. Captain Ferdinand and Wake Jatkins start in California and race all the way back to New York. However, There’s a twist: they can only advance state by state by successfully winning a college basketball bet from that state.
They will battle scheduling, winning and losing all while trying to be the first one back to the Empire State. Through strategy and tact they will battle through 16 states each both following different routes. Captain will go through the southern states and Wake will travel through the northern states.
That’s not all though as they have 3 potential life lines to help them overcome this challenge and defeat their opponent. 3 life lines: Skip a state, 2 bets in one day and bet the juice. Skip a state allows you to leave the state you’re currently in without successfully winning a bet. 2 bets in one day allows you to try and double up and advance twice in one day if successfully winning. This is critical because you could use it and lose it and never advance by losing your second bet. This one is the most crucial in our opinion because you can only bet once per day even if you win or lose.
Lastly you have bet the juice. This allows you to bet anything past -150 odds, essentially letting you have better odds to win your bet and get to the next state. These are huge implications on the game and will make the challenge an even bigger battle with increased strategy. The battle starts tonight in California, who will get back to NY First, who will be the Victor while the other one watches from a far away state and who will claim all the glory and go down in the history books?
