I Don’t Hate the Miami Dolphins (as much) Anymore

As a Buffalo Bills fan, I grew up hating the Miami Dolphins.

Playing Madden 2003, 2005, 2008, I always thought that they were public enemy number one. To me, they were the most hated because of the 70s and how Buffalo couldn’t beat them. It also didn’t help that I had family members who were Dolphins fans too. Something has changed though, the hatred that I once had for the team in South Beach isn’t there anymore. The hate has been lifted and moved north.

Ok, before I have people in my mentions saying that “I am not a Bills fan for not hating the Miami Dolphins.” I do still hate them from a Bills fan standpoint. Take a step back with me and take a look from a football fan’s standpoint. Watching Urinating Tree’s video on the Dolphins, I realized that this team would be fun to watch going forward. I mean, look at that defense. They only allowed 338 points last season. They had the leading interceptor in Xavien Howard. The defensive pieces are there. They need help on the offensive side of the ball.

I love Tua ever since he took Alabama to the national title game (side note: I am a Florida fan who doesn’t hate Bama). Tua that night was great, and I loved the cross-eye black that he had. Last year I was dreading the fact that he would be Miami’s choice in the draft. In all honesty, I would not mind a Tua jersey. He had a pretty bad 2020 because they played musical chairs with the running backs, and besides Davantae Parker and Mike Gesicki, they don’t have any good receivers. Miami has the third and 18th picks in the upcoming draft to get some weapons in the draft.

This is a team that won 10 games and barely missed out on the playoffs last season. This is going to be an enjoyable team to watch for the next few years. Brian Flores could be a contender for Coach of the Year. However, they owe Sean McDermott one first.
