Brandon Aiyuk Has Requested a Trade! 3 Reasons He Won’t Be Enjoying Bar-Bill this Fall

Good afternoon folks and Happy 716 day. Hope you are enjoying Buffalo’s wacky weather and were able to donate to the cause/foundation of your choosing. Speaking of giving, Brandon Aiyuk apparently gave the 49ers an ultimatum due to the two sides’ inability to work out a long-term deal for the wide receiver.

Although I have sources I’m just a Bills fan like anyone else, I put my Zubaz on one leg at a time… so just like all of you I’ve seen parts of the fanbase clamor for Aiyuk this entire offseason. It’s not entirely crazy, as the Bills clearly had some interest in Aiyuk coming out of ASU just 4 years ago…

With all that said, even during these dog days of Summer where I would love nothing more than to fantasize about what could be…here are the 3 major reasons why the Bills and Brandon Aiyuk will be ships passing in the night yet again.

1) The 49ers have to be the ones to trade him

As the old phrase goes it takes two to tango, and with his value tanking due to the publicity of this situation… it’s hard to imagine that John Lynch and the prudent 49ers front office would give him up for lesser value…or give him up at all.

2) Brandon Aiyuk wants money. The Bills really dont have any.

I could go on about this situation but we’ve seen it before and we will see it again. The reason there is an issue to begin with is because BA wants more scratch. The Bills don’t have it to give to him at this juncture, and I don’t think they can really create it even if Beane gets creative.

3) The Bills are ACTUALLY happy with their WR room at the present moment

Can a group ALWAYS get better? Sure I guess you could trade a Kevin Durant to the Warriors and in most situations it’ll be addition but we now stand one week before training camp. It wasn’t always seen to the public over this last 90 days but Josh and co. have been working behind the scenes to establish chemistry and continuity. Bringing Aiyuk in at this point…wouldn’t do much there.

And besides… think about all the big name FAs the Bills havent been able to sign… DeAndre Hopkins, Julio Jones, etc… are we lamenting over those non-signings.

It’s not fun to hear it at all times… but sometimes you just have to trust the process.
