FOLLLKSSSS!! If you’re like me it was a little easier getting out of bed this morning, the garbage trucks had a little bit more of a hormonal tone, that morning air was just a little bit warmer than freezing because the Bills picked up a Billy Fuccillo size HUUUUUUUGE dub last night on EMM ENNN EFFF.
I could go into detail about #17 and how he continues to morph BillsMafia’s interpretation of what’s possible from a signal caller in the NFL, but since there’ll be many more qualified individuals to do that I figured I would break down everything else.
The Good
The Defense
Sure sure everyone wants to hate on Levi Wallace and ya know what he didn’t have his best game. But when your team allows 10 points through nearly 40 minutes of an NFL game they are doing something right. The front was ferocious (credit to Mullens for navigating the pocket pretty well in the 1H) and the LBs with Milano (Mike, we will get to that later) seemed to thrive. Very much looking forward to how this defense can build mesh and most importantly, stay healthy down the stretch run.
Special Teams
Not much was asked of Bojo, but he launched a missile. Reid Ferguson had a tackle on coverage. Tyler Bass made his field goals and Andre Roberts did his thing for the most part. Not a shining star, but a great performance from special teams which by the way is the unit that tends to win you a lot of games.
DABOLL
Oh boy. If you’re gonna get excited about how Josh looked last night, the Seahawks game, the RAMS GAME, @Dolphins then you gotta gotta gotta throw DAP on my boy DABOLL. He had everything dialed up from the first drive, and he was dressed to the nines flashing his cash all night long.
Honorable Mention: Dawson Knox
The Not So Good
Zack Moss
The spinzone on this not so good is that the bulk of it happened in the early part of the game with his fumble inside the team’s own 10 (or as a good writer might put it “in the shadow of their own goal posts”) but alas it was very bad regardless. The lesson has hopefully been learned, Moss was stopped on a 3rd and short later in the game when he got back in, but its safe to say his first MNF game was a learning experience for the workhorse out of Utah.
The Announcing
Louis Riddick knows what he’s talking about. Steve Levy is personally one of my top 10 favorite announcers. However, when you don’t know the names of the individuals that comprise my favorite team on this planet…I’m gonna grow upset with you. Bryan McDermott did I hear in the 1st half? Mike Milano?!?! MIKE MILANO??!?! He’s one of the bigger storylines for the Bills defense, you could atleast get his name right or just call him the cookie monster.
