A couple of weeks back, Davante Adams said that he was the best WR in the NFL today. I asked my friends who they thought was the NFL’s best, and that led me to get the consensus of what the rest of the NFL fans think (or as much as we could get to vote).
Who is the best WR in the NFL right now?

This week, I opened the poll and left it open for three days to let people vote and share with their friends before this week’s Sunday slate. I put Deandre Hopkins (the guy with arguably the best hands in the league), Julio Jones (The guy who people would’ve said is the best two years ago), and self-proclaimed number one in Adams, along with another option to have people select and then reply with whomever they thought was number one.
So there are two big points I want to bring up. First off, I can not believe how many people voted on the poll. I was expecting maybe 200 people would vote—nope, over 2800 votes in the three days. Then you add in the replies and the quote tweets to that number, and it is 3000 responses going towards this. So thank you to each and every one of you who voted and helped with the data. Second, this poll also led me to get trolled, which I was not expecting. Honestly, some of the tweets were funny.
@stefondiggs is. As usual, keep doubting the Bills and #Billsmafia.

Don't tag bills mafia, bro. You didn't even include Diggs.

Disrespectful.
So now, let’s get into my thoughts on this debate. For those of you commenting on DK Metcalf or Lockett, I can see them being in the top five conversation, but I think they need another year. For those of you saying Tyreek Hill, look at everything else besides his speed. Hill has so many yards and touchdowns because he is fast and gets the separation. I understand why you think that would equate to putting him at number one, but not top five material for me.
Look, I am a big Bills fan, but to me, the nod has to go towards Hopkins. Many of you said that because Diggs was the receiving yards leader, he should be the best. For starters, every other player who was on the top five for receiving yards had already had their bye, and Diggs hasn’t yet. So while he is leading, he had more opportunities to get yardage. Diggs has the speed and sharp route-running ability, but Hopkins has the jump catch radius, the reach, and most importantly, the hands. I mean, look at his catch against the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.
Suppose that isn’t good enough for you. What about his catch against the Steelers on Christmas Day 2017. Diggs has had his great catches, but they don’t match those two. I will give it up to the people who said Diggs, I looked further into how good Diggs is, and I believe he is now number two. At number three, I still gotta say Julio Jones because he can’t stay healthy, so we can’t see just how good he still is.
