The Kevyn Adams era has officially begun.
With the eigth-overall pick the in the 2020 National Hockey League entry-level draft, the Buffalo Sabres selected forward Jack Quinn.
Quinn, 19 years old, spent two full seasons the Ottawa 67’s of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). In 2019, the 6-foot-1, 179 pound forward finished 2nd in the OHL with 52 goals, 37 assists and 89 points.
“Jack [Quinn] has a lot of upside. [He] is still a guy that has a lot of growth [to do] physically. He still has his baby face,” said 67’s coach André Tourigny. “He’s a guy that can beat you in every way you can imagine. I compare Jack to Sebastian Aho. He can throw a big hit and go at the net, get a screen on the goalie, or get a rebound or a tap. He will beat you at the corner and he will beat you at the net … He can beat you in every way you can imagine.”
Quinn joins a Sabres team that finished 13th in the Eastern Conference last season and missed the postseason for the ninth-straight year.
