My Jordan flu blog (ranking the top foods to eat while sick)

They often say big-time players show up in big-time moments, and that is what we have here today.

When we look back after things are all said and done with this series in 114 days, we will look back to this moment here as a defying moment.

Since waking up this morning, I have been sick as a dog. I got home around noon and slept till 7 p.m. After waking up, I gathered myself, grabbed my hard hat, and started to blog.

If anyone knows anyone from the Nobel Prize committee, you may want to send this blog over to them, because this right here is heart. This right here is the love for the blogging game (also I think doing a beer mile tomorrow may kill me).

I looked at myself in the mirror and said I am way stronger than this fever, I am a blogger.

Now let’s talk about something of actual substance.

Ranking the top foods to eat while sick

5. Carrots

The carrot is a bonafide role player who can really carry a game early on. This afternoon, I ate a large quantity of baby carrots and it really put a pep in my step for about 30 seconds.

They aren’t going to win you any games on their own, but man they will give you great production off the bench as a role player. Their only knock is they do need a franchise player to play with to really see results.

4. Bananas

This seems to be a real health-conscious draft (I should probably get sick more often). But the banana is really just a solid role-player here. It’s not going to win you every game, but they are a phenomenal role player who can get hot and win you the occasional game off the bench.

Side note, I am currently housing a banana while writing this and there may be some recency bias in this selection.

3. Apple sauce

A true workhorse pick that shows up every single day, rain or shine. Get some cold applesauce in the fridge and I think that can cure any ailment.

I’m not sure if it’s healthy, but it sure does feel like it.

And to clarify, we are talking plain applesauce, no cinnamon here.

A little heads up to the folks at home, this will not be the last time we see someone from the Apple family in this draft

2. Ice cream

This pick really is a Swiss army knife. They are great on their own and a true meat and potatoes type player. They are also versatile enough to be thrown into a milkshake or ice cream sandwich to really keep you on your toes.

This pick would be first overall in any other draft class, but who we have at 1 is a true franchise player.

1. Cut up apple with peanut butter

This one is just by far and away the runaway favorite. Some compare this pick to the UCONN women’s basketball dynasty of the 2000s

A cousin to apple sauce, this family really stole this draft and will be star players for years to come.

This pick does everything needed of it and more. May I be biased because this is what my mom used to make for me every time I was sick growing up, yes? But that doesn’t discredit what this pick brings to the table.
