Jurassic World: Dominion Will Do Numbers…But Will it Suck?

Folks, if you know me you know I love entertainment and cinema. Whether it’s breaking down a new streaming series or getting pumped to intake a franchise’s latest chapter, I don’t need an excuse to get fired up.

The same can be said for many people and Jurassic Park/World movies. Despite Hollywood’s evolution since the original Jurassic film, no work has been able to capture/produce the majesty and magic of Dinosaurs like they do.

Not gonna lie, there was a lot of hype for many and myself after Jurassic World was released 7 years ago. The concept was good (they actually made the park happen) and the action of everything falling apart was more than acceptable. They even did a good job with having Henry Wu fly off in an unnamed chopper to open to future storylines. (actual clip isn’t on YT so forgive the grainy footage)

With all of that taken into account, I had legitimate hope for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. JW was good, the trailer looked decent with some volcano explosion and such and I was pumped. It ended up being the worst movie I’ve seen in theaters in the last half decade.

Very well done piece above by Mauler on the endless reasons JW: FK sucks. They move the dinosaurs to Wisconsin? The safari guy is a cheap knock off of the guy from Lost World? Dr. Malcom was all over the trailer, but only in the last 90 seconds? And don’t even get me started on all the shoehorning of storylines and stuff with the new administrative group. It all sucked.

The one thing working in the movie’s favor and as our article title alludes to is it will do numbies. People are clearly ready to be in the theaters after the past couple years, as Top Gun: Maverick showed, but will JW:D be a solid and quality movie?

Truthfully, I don’t know what to think about this final installment of the JW series. Yes, the trailer has me hyped and some of the scenes look cool, original cast returning looks good but we’ve been burned by that before. The one thing sobering me up about the whole experience is this dinosaur baby storyline…even the trailer pokes fun at it, so we will see if they can execute? I’m expecting either a poetic and action packed ending or a garbage dump meme disaster, no in-between.
