It’s 63 degrees out and cloudy with a slight breeze coming off the water and there is no place else I’d rather be. My Saturdays and Sundays are now spent watching football, but on a field a lot smaller than what we are used to.
It’s my son Lincoln’s first year of JV football and my first-time as a “Football Dad” as well. As I sit here and watch the purity of the game of football right in front of me, I start to think of our Buffalo Bills and that they all started their careers on a field somewhere just like this one. Watching the kids miss tackles, miss blocks, botch a handoff; it’s amazing the growth the players undergo to reach the NFL.
I think watching the NFL, we have all become numb to just how good the players really are just to make it to the NFL from a field that’s just 80 yards surrounded by only enough seating for the players’ families. It’s kinda cool to think about and I just wanted to share my thoughts with everyone as I look forward to seeing the future NFL stars starting their journey on this field right in front of me and many others across this land! I’m Monster(follow me here) and I’ll catch your asses by a football field near you
