MitchyKnows Week 2 Picks
As I sit back and reflect on the week that was, I can’t help but get excited for the weeks to come. Saturday was an up and down day, we ended the day one win above .500 which we’ll live with. Sunday didn’t go so hot, but I am incredibly confident we get back onto the winning side this weekend. As I sat in section 220 of Highmark Stadium, watching the scores from around the league get updated on the big screen, I knew that the game being played in front of me was the one I needed to cap off my teaser I gave out. I may have had 1 or 2 or 20 Labatt Blue Lights in me, but it was clear to anyone on Sunday that the Bills simply could not get into any sort of rhythm. The Steelers blitzed the Bills a whopping one time throughout the entire game and Bills simply didn’t have an answer for it. We also can’t have a punt blocked for a touchdown on our own 20 yard line. CAN’T HAVE IT!!
The lone bright spot for the Bills was that the defense played outstanding. Anytime you can hold an opposing offense to one touchdown throughout the game, you expect that to end in a victory. It would have been great for the fans to see a season opening win in person, but there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to walk out of Highmark Stadium with victorious cheers and smiles.
