  • The Toledo Rockets (17-6, 12-3 MAC) will travel to take on the Buffalo Bulls (9-6, 7-4 MAC) tonight at 9 PM in Alumni Arena. The game can be seen on ESPN2 with Jason Benetti on play-by-play and Dan Dakich serving as analyst or it can be heard locally on the radio station ESPN1520.
  • UB enters the game on a three-game win streak that has seen them win by an average margin of over 25 points per game. UB boasts the highest scoring offense in MAC play at 82.2 points per game, but the defense has kept the last three opponents to less than 64 points. That is the first time the Bulls have achieved that feat since the 2014-15 season.
  • The Bulls continue to dominate on the glass as they lead the nation in rebounding with 43 per game. They also do a great job defending the three as teams shoot just 27.2% behind the arc against the Bulls. UB is the only team in the nation to have four players that average at least 13.5 points per game.
  • The Rockets come into Alumni Arena atop the MAC standings. Toledo boasts the second-best MAC offense scoring 80.74 points per conference game. They snapped a two-game losing streak with a 87-75 win over Ball State Tuesday night.
  • Senior guard Marreon Jackson leads the Rockets in scoring with 17.2 points per game and is coming off a triple-double performance on Tuesday. Jackson also averages over five assists and almost two steals per contest.
  • The Rockets are top-three in the country at three-point shooting. Senior Spencer Littleson ranks fifth in the nation in three-point shooting percentage at 47.9% and is also fifth with 3.52 made three-pointers per game.
  • UB has dominated Toledo in recent years as they average 92.2 points per game over their five consecutive wins over the Rockets. That includes two wins at Alumni Arena in which the Bulls averaged over 107 points per contest. Pair that with UB’s stout perimeter defense and the Bulls will have a great chance to continue to climb the league standings tonight.
