With the 2021 NHL Season a week away, I thought I would give my predictions on which four teams from the newly realigned divisions will make the playoffs, along with which team will be the next to hoist the Stanley Cup.
North
Division Winner:
2. Oilers
3. Maple Leafs
4. Canadiens
East
Division Winner:
2. Boston Bruins
3. Philadelphia Flyers
4. Buffalo Sabres
Central
Division Winner:
2. Nashville Predators
3. Florida Panthers
4.Carolina Hurricanes
West
Division Winner:
2. Vegas Golden Knights
3. St. Louis Blues
4. Dallas Stars
Stanley Cup Prediction
In the Stanley Cup Final, I believe that this is the year Nathan MacKinnon takes the Colorado Avalanche to the promised land. If their superstars can stay healthy and Cale Makar takes an even bigger leap, they will do damage around the league this season. Not to mention they added Brandon Saad to an already stacked forward group and also putting Devon Toews on the back end to round out the D-core. This Avalanche squad is primed for a deep playoff run.
